Last night, I went to dinner at Loteria Grill in Hollywood (on Hollywood Blvd. right next to Geisha House) with Carol, a good family friend of ours (and quickly becoming my new partner in food felonies). I was very impressed with the Chicharrone de Queso, served with a light, salsa verde and guacamole. It was crunchy and cheesy and delicious! Then, for our main course, we each had two tacos in lettuce cups. The Calabacitas Tacos (grilled corn and squash) were simple and fresh, and the lettuce cups were a welcomed change of pace. For dessert, we split the Flan, which was perfectly creamy, and a lot less Jell-O-like than most other flan I have tasted.

Flan. Mmmmmm.
All in all, I think it was a very successful dinner. The food was great, the waiter was adorable, and we had a fabulous time . Thank you again Carol!
