I came to this via search hoping for round fries proportional to the regular french fry. Close but not quite. It will be wasteful to cut them out but oh, how decadent!

Dear Tilly,
Thanks for the lentil soup recipe. I made lentil soup for VBS this week and everyone enjoyed it so much. I poured two lbs. of lentils in the pot with some water and the pot was almost full in the morning. I also made hummas and everyone enjoyed it so much. It’s addicting. Avi helped me this week and she got to keep the leftover beas. It sounds like you are having a busy time with all this traveling. Take care. I love you. Aunt Pat

Bunyols! Gotta luv em’. They’re worth throwing heart healthy diets to the wind. These sound especially good. And, you must experiment with the gazpacho when I am in the neighborhood. Gotta get me some of that sutff too! Wonderful to see that your adventures continue. Can’t wait to hear more.

I love the way you are eating your way through college. I remember (long ago) living on french fries soaked in brown gravy as my every day fare. (I still love that). After all, I was on my own and could choose to eat whatever I wanted. But, compared to you, my food world was writ small. I didn’t know about gazpacho and such. Cheers to you and your gastronomy choices. They are mucho gusto!

Tilly, it was such a pleasure to read your blog. I am a friend of Nadia. I have written a cookbook, meant for my 3 sons (Nadia & I have that in common). I call my cookbook, “Love & Dishes from Mom.” But, lots of people are using it and I’ve gotten terrific feedback.
I think if I had written it today, I would have begun with a blog like you. Also, I appreciate your wonderful photos. I do have a question, unrelated to food, if that’s all right. This November I will be traveling to Barcelona just for a couple of days enroute to Israel. I would love to know of any hotel you would recommend. I want to take in a couple of museums as well as introduce my husband to the work by Gaudi. I know you’re busy, but if you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much.
